The club is affiliated to the BRCA. By joining the BRCA means that we are covered by their insurance. This means that all club members will be required to join the BRCA to be able to race at our meetings.
BRCA Membership fees are £14 per year.
Club Membership fees are now £12 per year for all members. Race fees are £4 per car and only £2 for any extra class. New racers are allowed to race at three meetings(paying £4 race fee).You must then Join the BRCA & the Bognor model car club. Or join the BRCA and pay a visitors fee of £6 per car per meeting.
HOT'S and Bognor are now dual membership. This means that you only have to pay one membership fee per person to race at either club.
Booking in will close at around 7.50 so that the first race can be on the line at 8.00. Hopefully this will give members three or four rounds and finals.
Members can book in other people who might be coming late but must pay their entry fee (this saves Pete having to collect it during the evening).
Annual championship points are gained on the first meeting in any month. 1st place gets 50 points,2nd place gets 49 points and so on down to last place.
The four monthly series points are gained at every meeting,with prizes for the top driver and runner up in each class. Juniors will get prizes for top junior and runner up in each class. Points are given at every meeting. Depending on the number of enteries there will be a maximum of six cars in each heat.
At least three cars must run in a round for series pionts to be awarded. For the four monthly series at least three meetings must be contested. For annual championship points at least six meetings must be contested.
Standard minis and R-12 minis to run in the same class. Brushed and Brushless will now run in the same class . To keep the racing fair only G2 540 motors as supplied by mardave can be used in the brushed cars, also monitering the speed of the brushless cars in comparison to the brushed cars. Anyone found using any other motor will be disqualified and will lose points.
At certain meetings throughout the year there might be circuit racing, depending on hall availability and organisers discretion.
At the end of every meeting it is essential that all transponders are returned to race control. Transponders that go missing can not be charged ready for the next meeting. If lost then it costs the club money to replace.
